Members of Elkins Middle School pull together to assist the Randolph County Animal Shelter. Students gathered and donated more than 500 pounds of food this weekend to the shelter. The Elkins Middle School Shelter Volunteer Club, with advisors Kelly Vandevander and Julie Likens, take turns walking dogs at the shelter each Saturday. The students enjoy working with the dogs and it provides the animals much-needed exercise and socialization, making the dogs more adoptable.
