Norma Sutton

Norma Jean Sutton, 81, a resident of Buckhannon, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born Oct. 13, 1931, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Solomon Ryan and Emma Jean Smith Gibson.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Pingley, of Ohio; and two daughters, Joyce Wilt of Buckhannon, and Sharon Pingley of Parkersburg; four brothers, Richard, Bug, Kight and Guy Gibson, all of Elkins; three sisters, JoAnn Crouch and Leota Gibson, both of Elkins, Connie Boyles, of Kentucky; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Robert Gibson; one sister, Cleota Gibson; and one grandson.

Norma was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ of Parkersburg.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday from the funeral home chapel with Minister Michael Courtwright officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens.
