The West Virginia fire marshal's office says a woman and two children are dead after an overnight barn fire in Lewis County.
Lewis County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the Crooked Run Road area Monday after receiving a report that three people may have perished in a barn on the property.
The barn, according to the report, is believed to have caught fire some time between 7:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, and the state Fire Marshal's office is investigating the incident.
The victims' identities have not been released.
The Midway Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
