November 13, 2012
The Inter-Mountain

Upshur County farmers are being requested to report any significant storm damages to the local USDA Farm Service Agency office, announced Steven C. Nestor, County Executive Director.

The local FSA committee will utilize all damage reports to establish the need for unplementing the Emergency ConservationProgram, Nestor said.

Local farmers are reminded that the current ECP signup period for the June 29 storm will end Nov. 29.

Upshur farmers should call (304) 269-8431 ext. 2 or stop by our office located just off U.S. 33, Grass Run Rd. exit East of Weston. Appointments are not required, however a call prior to an office visit will help reduce application time.

To file a complaint of discrimination, write to USDA, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, 1400 Independence Avenue, S.W., Stop 9410, Washington, DC 20250-9410.

, or call toll-free at (866) 632-9992 (English) or (800) 877-8339 (TDD) or (866) 377-8642 (English Federal-relay) or (800) 845-6136 (Spanish Federal-relay).
