St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon recognized Breast Cancer Awareness month on Oct. 18. Staff were encouraged to wear pink and gathered for a group photo.
Educational materials about breast cancer were on display and the hospital held a raffle for a pink Pandora bracelet. Proceeds from the raffle went to St. Joseph's Imaging department to provide educational materials for patients.
This is part of an ongoing effort to support awareness of and education about breast cancer in women. St. Joseph's Hospital is dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their own breast health. Taking steps such as monthly breast exams and annual mammograms are key to detecting and treating breast cancer in its earliest stages.
