Officials have identified the body of a man found dead Nov. 15 in Barbour County.

The body of Jeremiah Brady, 37, of Fairmont was located outside the old D&D Lumber Mill along Route 92 near Belington. A former family member discovered the body, according to Sgt. J.A. Wyatt of the Philippi detachment of the West Virginia State Police.

"It's not something I would consider a suspicious death. However, we are continuing our investigation," said Wyatt, who is leading the investigation.

"It's not anything like a murder or something like that."

Wyatt said Brady had recently died and decomposition hadn't set in. The body was sent to the State Coroner's office in Charleston for an autopsy.

The Belington EMS responded to the scene Nov. 15, along with the Belington Fire Department, the Barbour County Sheriff's Department, Barbour County Emergency Squad and the state police.
