The All-Conference Big 10 volleyball team was recently announced with several local girls getting honored.
Philip Barbour's Nikki Shriver, Mariah Davis and Brooke Depoy earned first-team honors for the Lady Colts.
The Lady Colts' DePoy was named player of the year in the conference, while her coach, Heather Halfin, was named coach of the year in leading her team to an 11-1 conference record and making an annual trip to the state tournament in Charleston.
Buckhannon-Upshur's Mackenzie Leigh, Leah Blend and Sydney Bush also earned first-team honors.
Lewis County's Erin Jerden also got selected for first-team all-conference.
Other first-team members include Shaniah Holtz?(Liberty), Alicia Noble (Robert C.?Byrd), Elesia Saunders (Robert C. Byrd), Cady Messenger (Bridgeport), Heather Hickman (Liberty), Victoria Postlewait (East Fairmont), Lauren Young (North Marion) and Kaden Whaley (Fairmont Senior).
Elkins' Kaitlyn Miller was named second team all-conference.
Buckhannon-Upshur's Lindsay Wagoner, Philip Barbour's Morgan Stemler and Lewis County's Micah Ford also were named to the second team.
Other second-team selections were Isabella Johnson (North Marion), Abigail Smith (Liberty), Denise Adkins (Robert C. Byrd), Brenna Efaw (East Fairmont), Kristy Kuhens (Lincoln), Laken Jones (Preston), Alex Lover (Bridgeport) and Brianna Anderson?(Grafton).
