Davis & Elkins College Athletics is offering $1 admission to every fan wearing red to today's West Virginia Conference games against Seton Hill.
The "Red Out" games will be held in the McDonnell Center gymnasium with the women taking the court at 5:30 p.m. and the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
The 2012-13 Division II basketball season is just getting starting with D&E men's and women's teams ranked 10th and 9th, respectively, in the WVIAC standings.
Seton Hill is ranked 14th in both men's and women's conference basketball standings.
"A home opener is an important game for any program," said D&E women's coach Jason Asbell. "We are looking forward to seeing our families, friends and fans in the stands wearing red and supporting us. I know the team will play hard and they are very excited for this game."
"We've got a great group of guys that work hard and are fun to watch," added D&E's men's coach Bruce Martin. "Having the support of the Elkins community as we take the court would be fantastic. They love to play in front of a packed house."
Today's "Red Out" game also will kick off the Junior Senator program at D&E. Area boys and girls age 13- -and-under are eligible to join the free club, which includes free admission to home games, exclusive autograph sessions with in-season teams, a membership card and more.
