The Barbour County Sheriff's Department is awaiting the results of medical testing as it investigates a Wednesday accident that left one man dead.
Dean Weaver was traveling on West Virginia Route 57 Wednesday, and investigators believe he may have suffered a heart attack which caused him to lose control of his vehicle, crashing it into a ditch. His wife, Philippi City Manager Karen Weaver, was injured in the accident.
