Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Vance celebrated 50 years of marriage on Thankgiving Day with family and friends.
The couple was married Nov. 22, 1962, in Elkins. The ceremony took place at Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon Cale presiding.
Hollis Vance attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Virginia University. Adrienne Vance is a graduate of Davis & Elkins College in the first RN class in 1978.

The Vances have two daughters, Elizabeth Marshall MacVean and her husband Chris of Elkins; and Rebeccca Jo Nucilli and her husband Jim of Martinsburg.
Their grandchildren are Sarah Elizabeth Marshall, a senior at Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., and Noah James Nucilli, a freshman at Hedgesville High School.
