40th anniversary

December 1, 2012
The Inter-Mountain

Hoye and Shirley Carr were honored with a 40th wedding anniversary party hosted Sept. 20 at Parsons Church of God. They were honored by their children, Crissy and Paul Estep, Eli and Kara Carr, and their grandchildren, William and Grace Estep. They were roasted by their son-in-law Paul Estep; Larry Alt, a close military friend of Mr. Carr's from Keyser; and their pastor, Eli Hostetler. To honor their parents, their son, Eli, read a poem titled "Things That Matter Most," and their daughter-in-law, Kara, sang a song called, "Find Us Faithful." Their daughter Crissy served as Master of Ceremonies for the event, while grandson, William Estep, recited the "God is Great" prayer over the meal. During the meal, family pictures were shown to the audience.
