MILL?CREEK?- Tygarts Valley overcame a sluggish first half to register a 41-33 win over Pendleton County Friday night in Potomac Valley Conference action.
The Lady Bulldogs (1-0) trailed 10-9 after the first quarter and 17-15 at the intermission.
"We didn't play real well in the first half," said Tygarts Valley coach Mike DiPasquale. "I think we were nervous at the start of the game and missed a lot of layups."

The Lady Bulldogs rebounded in the second half, outscoring the Lady Wildcats 12-7 in the third and 14-7 in the fourth quarter.
"We played real well in the second half," DiPasquale said. "We were more aggressive on defense and started making some shots."
Senior Shanda Howell, a Davis &?Elkins College recruit, fired in 22 points to pace Tygarts Valley, She also dished out three assists and collected five steals.
Kelsey Arbogast chipped in with nine points and Emily Pingley collected 12 rebounds.
Hillard Ord and Danielle Gray had six points each for Pendleton County.
Tygarts Valley will host East Hardy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
Pendleton County will entertain Moorefield on the same date.
