Billy Lane Haney, 45, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, to be with God in which he placed all his trust and faith. He had been in his usual health and death was sudden and unexpected due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Indiana.

Left to cherish Billy's memory are his brother, Charles Bostick and wife, Teresa, of Valley Head; and his sisters, Pam Channell and husband, Jeff, of Valley Head and Kimberly Cheek and husband Chris, of High Point, N.C. Billy had several aunts and uncles and other immediate family members and special friends who will remember Billy and the times they were privileged to spend with him.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister Tamela McCauley, June 19, 1966 to Sept. 20, 1966.
Billy attended Tygarts Valley High School in Randolph County and volunteered at Tyrand Cooperative Ministries for Belinda Toms in Mill Creek for several years and was there everyday. During his time at the Tyrand Cooperative Ministries, Billy received volunteer of the year and the Noah's Ark thrift store award various times. He also helped the elderly ladies at the church and could be seen on several occasions pushing one of the ladies to church in her wheel chair. He loved Christian music and never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh, and he always entertained everyone with his amazing voice impersonations. He was our Santa Claus at Christmas time and enjoyed passing out gifts and made sure his special needs nephew was involved. He will be truly missed and loved by all. He spent his life devoted to God and helping others.
A memorial service and life celebration will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 8, at noon at Valley Independent Baptist Church in Huttonsville officiated by Pastor Frank Stanley.
