One person was life-flighted to Morgantown following a two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday. The crash took place at the intersection of U.S. Route 250 and 33 on Corridor H near Junior.

Trooper S.E. Hevener with the Elkins detachment of the West Virginia State Police said a vehicle turned left onto U.S. Route 250 despite having a red light and crashed head-on into a vehicle that was traveling west on Route 33.

According to the trooper, one person was ejected from the vehicle and air-lifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Hevener did not disclose the name of the patient.

He said Route 33 was closed for approximately 30 minutes while the helicopter transport landed.
