BRIDGEPORT - Miki Glenn finished with a team-high 21 points to lead Bridgeport past Elkins 52-23 Wednesday night in Big 10 Conference action.
Raina Young followed with 15 points, while Hannah Fetty chipped in with 12 points for the Lady Indians (3-0), who led 32-10 at halftime 44-15 after three quarters of play.
Brianna Swecker, Hailey Collins and Ashley Simmons all had four points each to lead the Lady Tigers (1-2).
Simmons and Colleen Webley had six rebounds each for Elkins.
The Lady Tigers (3-0) won the junior varsity contest 32-26 over Bridgeport. Madison Collett had nine points, while Charlie George added six points for the Lady Tigers.
Elkins will visit Philip Barbour at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 for a Big 10 Conference matchup.
Tucker County 56, Petersburg 49
HAMBLETON - Stephanie Betler fired in a game-high 22 points to lead Tucker County past Petersburg 56-49 Wednesday in non-conference action.
Amber Evans followed with 18 points and three assists, while Bekah Simmons added nine points for the Lady Mountain Lions (1-0).
Savannah Ambrose pulled down eight rebounds and four blocks for Tucker County.
Brittani Bible finished with a team-high 15 points to lead Petersburg (2-1).
Megan Cook added 14 points, while Allison Brown chipped in with seven points for the Lady Vikings, who led 32-29 at halftime before being outscored 13-7 in the third quarter to trail 42-39 lead after three quarters of play.
"We're happy to get the victory tonight," Tucker County first-year coach Jim Ambrose said. "Petersburg is a good team and well coached. We didn't play well at first put pulled it together late in the game."
Petersburg will host Keyser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup.
Tucker County will visit Tygarts Valley on the same day for key conference matchup at 7:30 p.m.
Pendleton County 47, Moorefield 37
FRANKLIN - Hillary Ord scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Pendleton County claimed a 47-37 win over Moorefield Wednesday night in Potomac Valley Conference play.
Danielle Gray added 13 rebounds and Meghan Keller dished out three assists for the Lady Wildcats (1-2).
Katelyn Wills had eight points for the Lady Yellow Jackets (0-3).
Pendleton County will entertain East Hardy on Tuesday for another league game.
Moorefield will travel to East Hardy on Friday.
