The Ski-Hi 4H club began their new year on Nov. 12 with installation of officers and welcome of new members.
Extension Agent Amanda Haller presented a "Building Blocks" program during the installation. Each officer was given their officer books along with a block depicting a symbolic meaning.
Officers and committee chairpersons are strong components in a structured organization to help the club run smoothly and provide a solid foundation to build upon. Members who also received blocks represent a shape, goals, and/or direction of the club and team effort which is the "glue" that holds it all together when the entire structure is built. Responsibility, trustworthiness and character are key components to a strong club and a variety of different shapes and colors of blocks represent diversity and strength.
The Ski-Hi 4H club includes, front from left, Christian Brown, Sarah Riggleman, Heidi Daniels (reporter), Bethany Brown, Haleigh Riggleman, Audrie Dyer and Brenlyn Rosenberger; and back row from left, Leader Dawn Swecker, Sam Urban, Cameron Broschart, Sydney Depp (president), Destiny Brown (secretary), Hannah Daniels (treasurer), Extension Agent Amanda Haller and Joseph Schmidlen (vice president).
