Jessie G. Haymond, 83, of Rock Cave, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born April 29, 1929, at Kanawha Head.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Charity Riley; son, Gary Haymond; sister, Bessie Anderson; and brother, Roy Riley.
Jessie is survived by four sons, Cecil Haymond and wife, Lesa, of Rock Cave, Kenny Haymond and wife, Kathy, of Rock Cave, Larry Haymond and wife, Elizabeth, of Wakeman, Ohio, and Clay Haymond of Kipton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Alfred Riley of Elkins, Melvin Riley of Kanawha Head and Estal Riley of Cleveland; three sisters, Ada Raines of Weston, Thelma Humphrey of Virginia, and Mary Moore of Kanawha Head; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Green Circle Growers Inc. in Kipton, Ohio. Jessie enjoyed gardening and quilting and attended Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Kanawha Head.
