Herbert Clark Mallow, 83, passed away peacefully Dec. 12, 2012 at his home in Mabie.
He was born July 28, 1929, at Red Creek, a son of the late Jasper and Lena Bennett Mallow.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen Teter Mallow.
He is also survived by one son, Herbert Clark Mallow II of Mabie; eight daughters, Wenona (Rodney) Teter of Red Creek, Audrey (Earl) Niznik of Orwell, Ohio, Brenda (Greg) Cooper of Harman, Donna (Robert) Judy of Harman, Amy (Paul) Vandevender of Kerens, Trudy (Leon) Sponaugle of Dryfork, Tina (Robert) Chewning of Belington and Jessica (Andy) Pastine of Mabie; one sister, Velma Ritchie of Painesville, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were five brothers, Hank Mallow, Gerald Mallow, Roy Mallow, Forest Mallow and Keith Mallow, and four sisters, Hazel Simmons, Myrtle Bible, Elma Haddix and Opal Davis.
Mr. Mallow was a Protestant by faith. He was a carpenter by trade, owner of Herb Mallow Builders. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home Saturday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A private memorial service for the family will be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eli Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in Buena Cemetery.
