David Eugene Weaver, 62, a resident of Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital and a former resident of Route 4, Philippi, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
He was born Oct. 18, 1950, in Barbour County, a son of the late Teddy and Thelma Emma (Weaver) Weaver.
Surviving are a close friend, Ellen Murphy of Philippi; two sons, Mike Weaver and companion, Hattie Nestor, of Thornton and Greg Weaver and companion, Von Lantz, of Grafton; two brothers, Paul Weaver and wife, Brenda, of Fort Gay and Robert Lynn Weaver and wife, Sue, of Weston; three grandchildren, Michael Todd Weaver, Kourtney Weaver and Tamarie Weaver; and two stepgrandchildren, Tyler Freeze and Cody Dye.
David was a farmer. He enjoyed working in the hayfield, hunting, gardening yard work and spending time with his friends. He was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St. in Philippi today from 6 to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the service hour with Pastor William Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in Clemtown Cemetery.
