Tygarts Valley holds off East Hardy

MILL?CREEK - Brandon Pritt had 21 points to lead Tygarts Valley past East Hardy 50-47 Thursday in overtime in Potomac Valley Conference action.

Brett Griffith followed with 14 points, while Adam Cassell had six points for the Bulldogs (4-0), who led 30-21 at halftime and 40-32 after three quarters of play.

Adam Cassell had six points and pulled down six rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Tyler Mongold had 20 points, while Shawn Skovron had eight points for the Cougars?(2-3).

Levi ?Beck chipped in with seven points for East Hardy.

"I was happy to get the win tonight even though we didn't play well," Tygarts Valley coach Tom Wamsley said. "I was happy with the kids performance and when they went on a run we never gave up."

East Hardy will play in the Petersburg tournament on Dec. 27.

Tygarts Valley host Tucker County on the same day for a Potoma Valely Conference matchup at 7:30 p.m.
