Editor:
In response to your editorial as to why the Republicans picked up a few seats in the Legislature, the answer is simple: guns and coal. There are more registered Democrats in the state than Republicans.
The National Rifle Association has the majority of the voters in its right hip pocket, and the coal operators have them in their left hip pocket.
There is also a little bit of prejudice against Barack Obama, too. I know that for a fact, I have heard the "N" word used for him.
The "cry baby" Romney on all of his excuses as to why he lost, I have not heard this one. When he picked Ryan for his running mate, he scared a lot of women with school children to vote against him because of the radical budget proposal. They both lost their home states to Obama.
