PHILIPPI - Alderson-Broaddus has announced its football schedule for the 2013 season.
The Battlers fielded their first football team since 1930 this past season, competing as a club sport.
But a full 10-game slate is in place, which includes the home opener Sept. 7 against Pace University at the school's new Multi-Sport Performance Stadium.

"We are really excited about the national schedule the Battler football team will play in 2013," A-B coach Dennis Creehan said. "We play 10 teams from nine different states, and this schedule should help expand A-B's regional footprint."
The Battlers' slate includes away games at Chowan University (N.C.), Kentucky State, Point University (Ga.), Warner University (Fla.) and Lenoir-Rhyne University (N.C.).
Other home contests include St. Joseph's College, Virginia University of Lynchburg, Malone University and Cumberland University.
Lenoir-Rhyne reached the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs this past season, while Cumberland University concluded the season ranked 20th in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25.
A-B finished the 2012 season 9-2, playing all 11 games on the road.
