WESTON - L.J. Lawrence scored 17 points as Elkins held off Oak Hill 52-50 Thursday night at the Lewis County Holiday Classic.
The Tigers (6-0) will face Ripley at 5:45 p.m. today. Ripley defeated Lewis County, 69-64, in Thursday's late game.
Logan Phillips added 15 points and Colby Gainer 13 for Elkins, which led by as many as eight points in the final quarter before holding off a late Red Devil rally.
"It was a struggle on both ends of the court for us tonight against a very athletic Oak Hill team," Tiger coach John Lawson said. "But with the game on the line, we got the job done and the kids responded.
"It wasn't a pretty win but we'll take it."
Jalen Jones had nine points to lead Oak Hill (2-2).
The Red Devils will meet Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. today.

Grafton 51, Elkins 41
SHINNSTON?- Kari Fawcett tossed in 18 points to lead Grafton to a 51-41 win over Elkins Thursday night at the Lincoln Holiday Tournament.
The Lady Tigers (2-5) will battle Philip Barbour at 4 p.m. today in the consolation game. The Lady Colts lost to Lincoln, 92-36, in Thursday's other game.
Shawna Graham added 10 points for the Lady Bearcats, who led 27-18 at the intermission.
Ashley Simmons led Elkins with 12 points. Freshman Logan Dudley added six rebounds and Michaela Lewis-Lambert five caroms.
Grafton and Lincoln will square off in the title game at 7:30 p.m. today.
