TENNERTON - Buckhannon-Upshur's girls have ended their losing streak.
After suffering through 11 consecutive losses, the Lady Bucs brought considerable energy in an exciting 42-37 victory over East Fairmont Wednesday night in Big 10 Conference action.
B-U won the rebound battle, 41-31, and battled its way to 17 steals, filling the passing lanes and getting a lot of offense in transition.

"It was the best we have played all year," B-U coach Tristan Gray said. "They won this game tonight with sheer intensity. Even before the game, they seemed to have a lot of confidence."
Early on it looked like an East Fairmont rout. After falling behind 2-0, the Lady Bees rallied for a 7-2 lead and carried a 9-5 lead after one quarter. B-U bounced back to tie the game 16-16 at the half.
East Fairmont appeared to gain some separation, piecing together another 7-0 run late in the third quarter to establish a game-high six-point lead at 31-25.
Instead of folding, B-U bounced back with a 7-1 run of its own to tie the game again at 32-32. Playing stellar defense that forced some late East Fairmont turnovers, B-U closed the game with a 6-2 surge to seal the win.
Jessica Feronti led the B-U attack on both sides of the court. The quick senior led all scorers with 18 points, and also produced a game high seven steals to complement her six rebounds. Kelsey Hinzman scored eight points and had a team- high 10 rebounds, with Megan Wilfong also narrowly missing a double-double with eight points and eight rebounds. Courtney Reed and Alexis McDaniels posted seven and six rebounds respectively, and each girl had three assists.
"It was a solid all-around team effort," Gray said.
Brooklyn Weaver led East Fairmont with 14 points, while Felicity Van Gilder had a team-high nine rebounds.
The Lady Bees were hampered by 20 total turnovers.
B-U improves to 2-12 with the win, while East Fairmont falls to 4-9.
The Lady Bucs will travel to Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
