MILL?CREEK - Tygarts Valley sank nine 3-pointers to earn a 65-47 victory over Cameron Friday night in opening round play of the West Virginia Hometown Invitational Tournament.

The senior duo of Adam Cassell and Brett Griffith combined for seven of the Bulldogs' treys on the night. Cassell finished with 21 points, five assists and three steals, while Griffith had 20 points, including four 3-pointers.

"We shot the ball well tonight," Tygarts Valley coach Tom Wamsley said. "Cameron went to a box-and-one (defense) on Brett in the third quarter and it opened up things from the outside for Cassell."
