PHILIPPI- Catherine Boyles scored 16 points as East Fairmont held off Philip Barbour 56-55 Wednesday night in Big 10 Conference action.
In a back-and-forth battle throughout the second half, the Lady Colts fell behind 46-42 before four straight points from Lindsey Riley tied the game at 46-46 with 6 minutes left in regulation.But Brooklyn Weaver followed with a clutch 3-pointer to give the Lady Bees the lead for good.
Philip Barbour (3-8)) made a late surge to get within 55-52 on a layup by Riley with 48 seconds left in the game. A missed free throw from East Fairmont left the door open for a potential-tying 3-pointer, but a blocked shot led to the Lady Bees getting a free throw from Boyles to ice the game with 3.6 seconds remaining.

Philip Barbour trailed 31-27 at intermission before Kaitlynne Neville ignited an 11-3 run. The senior scored nine of her 10 points in the frame, including a short jumper that gave the hosts a 40-34 lead.
East Fairmont carried a 43-42 edge into the third quarter, however, on a putback by Macey Nuzum as time expired in the frame capped a 9-2 run.
Riley fired in 22 points to pace the Lady Colts. Celeste Kelley added 10 points and three assists, while Neville added 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double. Marissa Carey chipped in five assists.
Peyton Ryan added 13 points and Weaver 12 points for the Lady Bees (5-10).
Philip Barbour is scheduled to host Tucker County at 7:30 p.m. Monday for a non-conference game.
