Maggi Rhudy will hold another workshop on "Simple Printmaking" on Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an hour break for lunch. Older teens and adults will learn simple printmaking including rubbings, Styrofoam printing, cardboard printing, monoprinting and linoleum cut printing. The cost is $40.

The ever-popular "Lab Band" returns. Band director Seth Young will lead two ensemble classes for students who like to sing or play an instrument - any instrument. Both "Early Lab Band" and "Late Lab Band" are open to students in the fifth through 12th grades.

"Early Lab Band" is designed for students new to the program and for those who have participated in only one session of "Lab Band." "Late Lab Band" is designed for students who have participated in at least two or more Lab Band sessions.

Classes begin Feb. 12. "Early Lab Band" meets Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. and "Late Lab Band" meets Tuesdays from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.. Tuition is $80. Students should bring their own instrument. Non-refundable payment of $40 is due with registration with the balance due at the March 19 class. There is a 10 percent discount ($70) if paid in full at registration.

For private guitar lessons, guitarist Wayne Rowand offers individualized classes through the Arts Center. These lessons include, but are not limited to, technique, musicianship, theory, improvisation, coaching, and audition preparation. Lessons are $65 monthly for a 30-minute weekly session.

"Open Pottery Studio for Older Teens and Adults" will be Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. and/or Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $90 for one day/week or $150 for two days a week for six weeks. This is a self-directed class so participants must be able to show proficiency in elemental pottery skills. Students can throw or hand-build at their own pace with a group of experienced potters. The new 1 Park Studio provides excellent light-filled workspace to accommodate six potters on wheels. One bag of clay included; additional bags are sold at $25, which includes glaze and firings. Winter session classes begin Monday.

Classes have already started for the "After School Art Club" but young students can still join. The Art Club, for kindergarten through fifth-graders, meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The class is designed to provide children with a supportive and fun environment to develop their creativity, stretch their imagination, and learn art concepts and techniques. Tuition is $20 per week for nine weeks.

Additional classes begin each month. Visit www.randolpharts.org for new class and event listings.
