Students named to dean’s lists

Six hundred and sixty-one students were named to the Dean's List at Shepherd University for the fall semester.

Among those named to the Dean's list is Chelsea E. Langevin of Elkins.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must maintain a 3.4 grade point average for the semester and carry at least 15 hours of course work or be in a professional teaching block.

Located in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle, Shepherd University is a public liberal arts university. Shepherd is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association and a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.

Madalyn Humphrey of Elkins is on the Dean's List for the fall semester of 2012 at Ashland University.

Humphrey is majoring in child and family studies. She is the daughter of Richard and Ruth Humphrey of Elkins and is a 2011 graduate of Elkins High School.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
