Neil Smith, owner of Smith Backhoe and Dozer Service, dumps a truckload of dirt at Glendale Park in Elkins while Henry Daniels waits to smooth out the pile with the pictured bulldozer. According to Phil Gainer, director of the Elkins Parks and Recreation Office, both Smith and Daniels are working to build a new parking lot at the park, which will accommodate up to 100 cars. Materials, Gainer said, are being donated by Hamer Lumber.
