Tucker County girls cruise past Petersburg

PETERSBURG - Stephanie Betler had 19 points to lead Tucker County past Petersburg 55-34 Friday in non-conference action.

Amber Evans and Hunter Radford finished with 11 points each, while Evans had six steals for the Lady Mountain Lions (15-4), who led 29-15 at halftime and 50-19 after three quarters of play.

Savannah Ambrose had five blocks and eight rebounds for Tucker County.

Brittani Bible had 22 points, while Megan Cook chipped in with seven points for the Lady Vikings (5-10).

"I thought we played well tonight," Tucker County coach Jim Ambrose said. "Our conditioning tonight was a big part of our victory."

Petersburg will travel to Mountain Ridge (Md.) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for a non-conference matchup.

Tucker County will entertain Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Monday for a non-conference tilt.
