Fitness Center Club purchases equipment

February 16, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

The Fitness Center Club at Davis & Elkins College recently used funds from the College's Student Assembly to purchase a range of new equipment.

The items include nine premium hanging club mats, an elite power medicine ball, a rep band 6-yard roll, a VersaBall, two PowerRopes, a Premium Revolving 20-inch straight bar and a BOSU Balance Trainer for the Robbins-Madden Fitness Center.

Joyce Nestor, Fitness Center advisor, said that in addition, approximately $4,000 of the Student Assembly funds will be used for a yearlong service agreement contract with Noritsu America Corporation, which is crucial for maintaining all of the equipment in the heavily used fitness center.
