MILL CREEK - Elkins defeated rival Tygarts Valley 35-32 Friday in the boys area middle school title game.
Jarrette Zopp and Curtis Bullock had eight points for the Hornets (12-6).
Kobe Haynes followed with seven points for Elkins.

FRANKLIN - Shanda Howell finished with a team-high 23 points to lead Tygarts Valley past Pendleton County 61-51 Friday night in Potomac Valley Conference action.
Paige Pritt followed with 21 points, while Erin Murphy had 10 points and six steals, while Charity Lower had six rebounds and four assists for the Lady Bulldogs (15-6, 6-3 PVC), who led 36-29 at halftime and 49-41 after three quarters of play.
Nicole Hedrick had 18 points and five assists, while Kaylee Edwards and Danielle Gray had nine points each for the Lady Wildcats.
Pendleton County will host Moorefield at 7 p.m. Thursday in sectional tournament action.
Tygarts Valley will play either South Harrison or Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Class A sectional tournament play at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi.
