Mrs. Brenda Lucille Cardwell Lambert, 62, a resident of Good Samaritan Center at Belington, departed this life Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Death was unexpected.
She was born Jan. 19, 1951, in North Carolina, a daughter of the late Harrison W. and Sybil Ester Spears Cardwell.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Bennett; and second married to Robert Lambert, who survives in Elkton, Md.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by two children, Jerry Bennett of Maryland, and William Bennett Jr. of Idaho. She is survived by three brothers, Bill Cardwell of Arizona, Michael Cardwell of Arizona and Ronnie Silcox of Belington; four sisters: Linda Shoemaker of Colorado, Sandra Deal of Arizona, Malisa Blue of Arizona and Edna Armstrong of Belington; and grandchildren, Brittney, Amanda, Mathew and Jerry Ray Jr. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Abraham Cardwell.
Mrs. Lambert attended the schools of Maryland, and before becoming disabled she was a school bus driver at Aberdeen, Md. She enjoyed working puzzle books, and she was a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington Wednesday Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Greg Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
