Chiller Thriller Fun Run attracts students

D&E Cross Country runners brave sub-zero temperatures Feb. 2 to participate in the Randolph County Roadrunners’ 26th annual Chiller Thriller Fun Run. From left are Tommy Boone, a senior from Buckhannon; Amber Abbott, a freshman from Moatsville; Sydney Mucha, a junior from Mt. Clare; Becky Verbonitz, a junior from Terra Alta; Ellen Cantaral, a sophomore from Du Bois, Pa.; Barbara ‘Bob’ Fellenstein, a senior from Fredericksburg, Va.; and Kora White, a freshman from New Castle, Va. Other D&E participants included Wes Anderson, a freshman from Buckhannon; Andrew Carroll, a freshman from Bunker Hill; and Zach Hanshaw, a junior from Chloe. The run was on Lower Glady Road, and it started and finished at the Alpine Lodge on U.S. 33 east of Elkins. The Alpine Lodge hosted a post-run breakfast and social.
