H.A.S. students learn knitting

March 21, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

Students from kindergarten through high school are learning how to knit at Highland Adventist School in Elkins.

As part of the school's Friday enrichment program, H.A.S. parent Nicole Ott is giving knitting lessons to a whole classroom of eager students. Ott, who also teaches art to H.A.S. middle school students, is an accomplished artist herself.

"It is rewarding to see the interest the students have shown in knitting," Ott said. "It is a great skill to enjoy throughout life."
