An Elkins woman who was charged with intentionally hitting a man with her car has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges.

Martha Gardner, 57, of 251 Poe Run was arrested last week on charges of malicious wounding, a felony, and assault during the commission of or attempt to commit a felony, which is also a felony.

On Thursday, Gardner pleaded guilty in Randolph County Magistrate Court to two misdemeanor charges - leaving the scene of an injury and domestic battery.

Magistrate court officials said she has been ordered to pay restitution of $5,462 to the victim, Richard Ryan.

Gardner allegedly struck Ryan with her vehicle, a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, on the morning of March 9.

Also occurring in Magistrate Court Thursday, Cody Pudder waived his right to a hearing and has been bound over to Randolph County Grand Jury.

He was arrested last week after allegedly breaking into North Elementary School in December 2012. On March 12 he was charged in Magistrate Court with breaking and entering a building other than a dwelling, a felony.
