The recent snow storm that hit the area put a hold on area sporting events this past week.
Elkins High School has canceled 13 games between baseball and softball.
The softball team, which has not been on the field this year, has had seven games postponed to start off the season.

Games against Tygarts Valley, Robert C. Byrd, Bridgeport twice, Petersburg, Philip Barbour and Lincoln have all been postponed this spring.
The rescheduled dates include April 3 at Bridgeport, April 13 at home against Philip?Barbour and Tucker County, April 17 at Robert C. Byrd and April 18 at home against Bridgeport.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to visit Hampshire Friday for a doubleheader.
The Tygarts Valley and Petersburg games have not been rescheduled.
Elkins is scheduled to host Lewis County Monday in the baseball home opener.
The Tigers have had six games postponed and they include Buckhannon-Upshur, Webster County, Fairmont Senior, Philip Barbour, Buckhannon-Upshur and Lincoln.
Makeup dates include Saturday at home against Philip Barbour, April 3 at Webster County, April 6 at Buckhannon-Upshur, April 10 at Lincoln and May 3 at Fairmont Senior.
"It's been fun trying to reschedule these games," Elkins athletics director Todd Price said. "You have to be creative with some of the rescheduling. If we have to cancel more games, we might be forced to play just sectional and conference games."
Tygarts Valley has canceled the following baseball games - Webster County, Union and a doubleheader with East Hardy.
No makeup dates have been rescheduled at this time.
The Bulldogs' next game is Monday at home against Pocahontas County.
The school's softball team as yet to play a game this season.
Tucker County also has yet to plan any baseball or softball contests.
The Davis &?Elkins College baseball team has had seven home games postponed this year.
The Senators (10-10, 6-5 WVIAC) will travel to East Bank Middle School at 1 p.m. today to face Wheeling Jesuit, and then will play West Virginia State Friday and Saturday in Charleston.
Both games were originally slated to be played in Elkins.
"It's been tough trying to reschedule these games," Davis &?Elkins coach Ron Palmer said. "We have missed seven home games and we're just wanting to play games.
"We have nicknamed our team our team the 'Road Warriors.'"
