Charlie Wine Jr. receives special recognition in Morgantown during the West Virginia State Basketball Special Olympics Tournament. Wine was selected to the 2013 All Corbett Team.

Coach David Perry said he is proud of Wine and his accomplishments.

"He is one of only five honorees in West Virginia this year," Perry said. "There were hundreds of athletes competing, so this is a great honor."

Wine, the son of Beverly Wine of Cassity and Charles Wine Sr. of Sutton, said he is happy to receive the award.

"It is really nice to be selected for this award," Wine said. "I can't wait to tell my race car buddies and fire friends."

"Charlie doesn't let his disabilities hamper him in his quests," Perry said. "He gives his all to help himself and his teammates win their games and medals."
