Paul Dempsey Chew, 80, of Harman, passed away April 2, 2013, in Arbors Nursing Home at Fairmont.
He was born July 26, 1932, at Harman, a son of the late Adam Chew and Ethel Mick Chew.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Hedrick Chew; two sons, Paul Chew Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Jimmy (Jessica) Chew of Maysville; one daughter, Ginger (Bobby) Archer of Dundalk, Md.; one brother-in-law, Larry (Mary) Pennington, three grandchildren, Robert Archer Jr., Melissa Archer and Ella Chew; and one great-grandchild, Kali Archer.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hobert Chew and George Pennington; two sisters, Mattie Pennington and Katherine Chew.
Mr. Chew worked in the oil industry for most of his life. His favorite pasttime was baseball.
Friends will be received today from 3 to 8 p.m. at Harman Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Harman Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Eli Hostetler and the Rev. Phillip Ryder officiating. Interment will follow in Pennington Cemetery.
