Church to host Sportsmen’s night

April 6, 2013
The Inter-Mountain

Chad Schearer, a licensed professional outfitter and guide and host of the "Shoot Straight" hunting show, will be the featured speaker for Sportsmen's Night April 13 at Landmark Baptist Church at 1514 Harrison Ave. in Elkins. The meal will begin at 5 p.m. with the show at 6 p.m.

As a licensed professional outfitter and guide in the state of Montana, and previous owner and operator of Central Montana Outfitters, Schearer is making a life out of his dreams. He is not only an accomplished guide, world champion caller and professional speaker, but also was one of the youngest outfitters ever licensed in North America in 1994.

He has traveled North America hunting and working with many different outfitters. He has called and harvested trophy game around the world in hunting spots such as Africa, New Zealand and Canada, and also in Alaska and many other states in America.

His wife, Marsha Schearer, co-hosts "Shoot Straight," and she is also a licensed professional guide, an outdoor writer and photographer and seminar speaker.

The pulled-pork dinner will begin at 5 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Tickets are required for the meal, with a recommended donation of $5. Tickets may be acquired by calling the church office at 304-636-6229. Seating for the meal will be limited to 200.

The 6 p.m. seminar does not require a ticket. Men and women are encouraged to come to the event.
