The Davis Health System Foundation has announced plans for the first Martin St. Street Fair, which will take place July 5-6 along Martin St. in the Elkins Railyard.
Highlights of the two-day fair will include live entertainment on the main stage, food vendors, children's activities, arts and craft booths, and more. That Friday's activities will run from 11 a.m. until dark, and that Saturday's events are scheduled from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
"We are excited to bring this new event to the area," said DHS Foundation Director Dan Bucher. "It will offer a great opportunity for family-focused fun."
Artisans, crafters and other community groups will transform Martin Street into a fun, energetic atmosphere. The event will be free and open to the public.
"The mission of the foundation is centered on the communities served by Davis Health System," Bucher said. "The fair is a chance for us to not only give back to our communities who wholeheartedly support our work, but also help people understand what their support of the foundation allows us to do to improve regional health care."
Bucher said there is still time for those who would like to participate in the Street Fair, either as a vendor, sponsor or volunteer. Interested parties or groups should contact Jennie Raines at the foundation by calling 304-630-3043 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
More details, a lineup of the entertainment and schedule of events will be posted soon at the foundation's website at www.dhsfoundation.com.
