Registration opened April 1 for Run For It, the annual Tucker Community Foundation program that raises awareness and support for nonprofit organizations, educational programs, civic groups, community projects and charities around the region.
The annual program is on pace to break records. This year, teams will compete for the largest award purse in race history - now on track to exceed $62,000.
Run For It 2013 will feature a 2k walk and 5k race Sept. 28 on the streets of Davis. Racers of all ages and abilities take part; speed is not required to win; and teams can qualify for multiple awards.
Randolph County Commission members Mike Taylor, Chris See and Joyce Johns send a strong message of support for Randolph County teams willing to take part in Run For It 2013. Commissioners pledged to contribute $1,000 to each of the top 5 Run For It teams demonstrating ‘Best Effort’ to raise support and awareness for Randolph County causes.
Team registration, entry forms and other event details are available for download on the Run For It link at www.tuckerfoundation.net.
