Lady Colts must replace key players

PHILIPPI - Angel McCullough will enter her second season at the helm for Philip Barbour this season.

The Lady Colts must replace Class AA all-state second-team selection Lauren Rogers, but several experienced players return.

Leading the list of projected holdovers will be senior Emilee Anglin.

Anglin was a second-team All-Big 10 selection last year, while earning honorable mention all-state honors,

Faith Cline also returns after earning honorable mention laurels as a freshman. Senior Rachel Stuart, one of last year's key pitchers, also is expected back to the fold.

Other projected key returnees include seniors Nikki Knotts, Miranda Menear, Lori Knight and Samantha Davis, along with junior Jazriel Casto.

Philip Barbour was eliminated in sectional action last year, and finished 11th in the Big 10 Conference.

The Lady Colts are slated to open the season Saturday at home against Bridgeport.
