Fundraiser set for Saturday

May 1, 2013
By Beth Christian Broschart - Staff Writer , The Inter-Mountain

Once again, community members are coming together to help a family in need. On Saturday a benefit, including a cake walk and silent auction, is planned from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Kerens to assist Travis Harsh.

Harsh was listed in critical condition after hitting a deer with an all-terrain vehicle March 28 in Barbour County. He was subsequently airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Money raised from the Saturday event will be used to pay for hospital and doctor bills associated with the accident.

Harsh lives in Junior and is a freshman at Philip Barbour High School.
