The Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce's board of directors announced that Tammy Reger has been named the agency's new executive director.
Reger joined the Chamber of Commerce staff in November 2012 as an administrative assistant. Since then, she has worked diligently to fulfill the duties of her office, as well as working beyond the expectations given to her by the executive board.
"We are proud to have Tammy represent our Chamber on both the local and state levels," Chamber of Commerce president Sam Nolte said. "I have full confidence that Tammy's creative thinking and initiative will continue to move our Chamber in a positive direction."

Newly appointed Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce executive director Tammy Reger shows off the new sign that will hang outside of the organization’s new Main Street home in Buckhannon.
Reger is a member of the West Virginia Strawberry Festival's executive board. She, her husband Billy and daughter Emma reside in Buckhannon. Billy Reger is a contractor sales representative for 84 Lumber, and Emma will be entering the sixth grade at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School in the fall.
"I am excited to move forward with the Chamber as the executive director," Reger said. "Our move to Main Street has been wonderful, and we are now looking forward to celebrating with the community on June 20 from 4-6 p.m. with an open house."
Reger invited the public to join the Chamber that day in celebrating both the state's 150th birthday and the Chamber's new office.
The public is welcome to visit the location at 14 East Main St., Buckhannon, during its regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
