Quilt show organizers respond to complaint

June 15, 2013

Editor:

Putting on a quilt show is a big job. It takes many volunteer hours made up of Buckhannon Quilters at Heart Guild members and Upshur County CEOS members.

We try very hard not to make mistakes and to do a good job.

We are sorry Mary Snelson was upset and disappointed because her quilt did not get put in the right category and was not judged ("Quilt show became comedy of errors," page A5, June 8). We know how much work it takes to make a quilt. We apologized to her, but it was too late to change anything. The judging had been made and the quilts hung.

Once again, we apologize for our mistake.
