‘Ask A Lawyer’ event planned in Petersburg

The Family Crisis Center and West Virginia Legal Aid will host an "Ask A Lawyer" event from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Grant County Public Library in Petersburg.

The event is limited to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault who are seeking legal advice on topics such as divorce, custody, child support and bankruptcy.

In an ongoing effort to educate and assist victims, the Family Crisis Center and West Virginia Legal Aid have teamed up to offer this event at no charge.

The Family Crisis Center serves clients living in Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral and Pendleton counties who are victims of domestic and sexual violence. Services include crisis intervention, information and referral services, domestic violence protection order and personal safety order assistance and West Virginia Legal Aid referrals.
