West Virginia Christian Youth Camp is a small nonprofit organization dedicated to providing young people with a wholesome program of Bible study, spiritual growth and personal enrichment in a Christian environment.
Each day at the camp is filled with Bible classes, worship hours, devotionals and Bible bowl competitions. Recreation time is structured to ensure the best use of time for fun and fellowship.
Regular Bible camp weeks are divided into four distinct groups. Senior Week, for those ages 14 to 18, meets from June 30 to July 6. Intermediate Week, for those ages 11 to 14, meets from July 7 to 13. Junior Week, for those ages 7-11, runs from July 14-19. All Age Week, for those 8 through 18, runs from July 21- 27.
In 2012, West Virginia Christian added a new week to camp, Sports Week. During Sports Week, which will run from June 23-28 for those ages 12 to 18, campers will have the opportunity to learn a sport from qualified coaches and counselors, including former collegiate athletes.
As of this year, West Virginia Christian Youth Camp will offer a special Singing Emphasis Week that will run from July 28 through Aug. 3 for ages 12 to 18. This week of camp is intended to improve music theory skills, teach song leading, introduce hymn writing, as well as, help everyone learn to sing with the spirit and understand to improve congregational singing.
