‘Never Too Old’

Former Elkins resident Susan Osborn, 90, killed a Spring Gobbler in Queens (Upshur County) in April. The Gobbler weighed 18 pounds and had a 4-inch beard. Osborn, along with her late husband, Steven B. Osborn, has been an avid hunter for over 60 years. Mrs. Osborn is the happiest when she is hunting and enjoying the outdoors. She spent the winter in Florida and was sure to return in time for spring gobbler season. Her children and grandchildren are feeling so blessed to have such a healthy lady in their lives. They feel sure her husband Steve is so proud of her and is smiling down on her from Heaven. She is always quick to remind them that ‘you are never too old.’
