Women age 36 years or older who do not have health insurance and have not had a mammogram within the last year may be eligible for free mammograms.
One in eight West Virginia women is diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Early detection is the best protection against the consequences of breast cancer.
The Tucker County Health Fair 2013 and Mon General Hospital want to help women in our region receive the best preventive screening for breast cancer. Generous donors have agreed to provide funds to help women get a digital screening mammogram at no cost at Davis Memorial Hospital.
Pictured from left are Debra Dean of the DMH Radiology Department, volunteer Tag Stiles and Mark Doak, CEO and president of Davis Health System. Dean, Stiles and Doak care about women’s health and are encouraging eligible candidates to apply for a free mammogram.
